Recipes

Ready-made patterns for the tools you already use. Each one is a single API call or webhook.

AI voice agent couldn't reach them → human callback

When a Vapi, Retell or Bland call ends in no answer, voicemail, or "can I talk to a real person?", hand the follow-up to a human. Add a custom tool or end-of-call webhook that POSTs to /api/tasks:

{
  "phone": "{{customer.number}}",
  "state": "{{customer.state}}",
  "consent": "inquiry",
  "goal": "Call back and book the appointment the AI couldn't finish",
  "brief": "Our AI assistant called at {{time}}. Outcome: {{endedReason}}. Summary: {{summary}}. They asked for a person, so open with that.",
  "external_ref": "{{call.id}}"
}

Vapi: a function tool or the end-of-call-report server message. Retell: a custom function or the call_ended webhook. Bland: a custom tool or the post-call webhook. Ring a Human calls back from a person, so the follow-up isn't an AI or prerecorded call.

Positive email reply → call them while they're warm

Instantly, Smartlead and lemlist all send a webhook when a lead replies or is marked interested. Point it at a Zapier, Make or n8n step that creates a task, or at a small function:

{
  "phone": "{{lead.phone}}",
  "business_name": "{{lead.companyName}}",
  "lead_name": "{{lead.firstName}} {{lead.lastName}}",
  "state": "{{lead.state}}",
  "consent": "inquiry",
  "goal": "Book the meeting they just said yes to over email",
  "brief": "They replied to our email: \"{{reply_text}}\". Reference it, offer two times this week."
}

Use inquiry only when the lead replied asking to talk. A cold list with no reply isn't a basis to call.

Calendly no-show → reschedule call

Subscribe to Calendly's invitee_no_show.created webhook (or use the Zapier trigger) and create a task with goal "Reschedule the meeting they missed" and the event details in the brief. Use the existing_customer or inquiry basis, since they booked with you.

Any form → call within minutes

No code: create a lead intake URL and paste it into Google Ads lead forms, Typeform, Tally, Webflow, Framer or Unbounce.

HubSpot: call new contacts from a workflow

In a HubSpot workflow, add a Send a webhook action (Operations Hub) that POSTs the contact to your intake URL. Or use Zapier: "HubSpot → New Contact in List" → "Ring a Human → Create Call Task". To write the outcome back, add an outcome webhook or the Zapier "Call Completed" trigger → "HubSpot → Update Contact".

Clay: call the leads that score highest

Add an HTTP API column (POST https://ringahuman.com/api/tasks, header Authorization: Bearer rah_live_…) with a run condition such as "score ≥ 80 and phone is not empty". Map the brief from your research columns so the caller knows why you're calling.

Booked meeting → Slack

Add an outcome webhook that points at a Zapier or n8n flow, filter on task.outcome.disposition == "booked", and post the caller's notes and meeting time to your channel.

AI agents and SDR platforms

Any agent that speaks MCP can use https://ringahuman.com/mcp directly: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lindy, Gumloop, Relevance AI, CrewAI and the OpenAI Agents SDK. See MCP setup.
