Writing call briefs
A great brief takes a minute to read and makes the caller sound like they know the account.
Structure
- Why nowWhat the lead did and when.
- What we knowTwo or three specifics.
- The askOne time-boxed next step.
- ObjectionsTwo likely pushbacks with one-line answers.
Agent prompt template
Write a call brief under 150 words with four parts:
1) Why now: what {lead} did and when.
2) What we know: 2–3 specifics from {data}.
3) The ask: one time-boxed next step.
4) Two likely objections with one-line answers.
Start with "You're calling on behalf of {company}".
