Errors
Errors are JSON with a human-readable message. Over MCP, tool results set isError: true with the same message.
Status codes
| Status | When | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | Invalid field: phone, brief length, missing state/timezone. | Fix the input and retry. |
| 401 | Missing, invalid or disabled key or token. | Re-authenticate. |
| 404 | Task not found or belongs to another client. | Check the ID. |
| 409 | Number on do-not-call, an open task already exists for it, or the task is no longer open. | Don't retry blindly; read the message. |
| 500 | Unexpected error. | Retry with backoff. |
